Bellanet Shop is the online store of Yanet, a professional stylist who spent years recommending and selling beauty products to her clients.

She sold through WhatsApp and Instagram. It worked, but every order was manual and her brand had no home of its own online.

The brief

The goal was clear from the first meeting: a store that conveys the same trust she builds in person.

  • A catalog organized into four categories: perfumes, hair and beauty, accessories and home.
  • Cart and customer accounts so repeat purchases feel effortless.
  • US-wide shipping with clear rules.
  • A deals section and curated favorites to build loyalty.
  • A personal section telling who is behind the brand.

How we chose the design

We studied the brands her clients already loved. The pattern was obvious: cream backgrounds, golden details and plenty of light.

We picked a classic serif for headlines and a beige, brown and gold palette. It feels boutique, not marketplace.

The brand line — “What you choose also defines you” — opens the homepage over silk product photography. No generic banners.

The technology behind it

  • Next.js with the App Router for hybrid rendering: fast catalog pages and clean SEO.
  • Tailwind CSS to keep one consistent visual system across the store.
  • A custom cart and wishlist, with no external marketplace dependency.
  • Internal product search plus a Spanish/English language switch.
  • Deployed on Vercel with a custom domain and SSL.

Why this architecture pays off

  • The store loads fast on mobile, where most of her audience shops.
  • Every category gets its own indexable URL, built for product searches.
  • Yanet controls prices, deals and catalog without paying per-sale fees.
  • The brand grows on its own domain: bellanetstore.com.

Pros and cons of our choices

What we gained

  • Total design freedom: the store looks like no template.
  • Low fixed costs compared to platforms charging per transaction.
  • Excellent performance without heavy plugins.

What we traded away

  • A custom cart demands more testing than a closed-platform one.
  • New features go through development, not an app marketplace.
  • The initial build took longer than assembling a prefab store.

For a personal brand with a curated catalog, the trade was worth it: a strong identity today and zero commissions tomorrow.

The outcome

Bellanet Shop went from chat-based orders to a store that never closes, with its own brand and a base to grow content and SEO.
